"Family, friends, and Comrades of Jim Lindquist, we come here today as we not only honor his memory, pay our final respects, but also celebrate the life of a good and well-respected man by his fellow expats as well as the Thai people.
 
Jim was my neighbor at the Rainbow Apartments, where he lived for many years, and was known as "Thai Jim" by the car license plate he kept in the window. 
 
You can see today he had many friends and even Khun Pon, manager of the Rainbow Apartments is here. 
 
Thank you.
 
We Veterans of Foreign Wars have taken a solemn oath to perpetuate the memory of our fallen Comrades, and we come here today as confirmation of that promise.
 
Jim, we Veterans, we well as, all Americans thank you for your service to our great country.
