Wayne Eric DeMoss, 66, of Austin, TX, passed away on January 19th, 2024. He was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, on April 15th, 1957. Wayne graduated from Austin Community College with an Associate degree in Criminology.

Wayne served in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1983.

He then joined the Austin, TX. Police Department. Wayne rose through the department ranks, retiring at the rank of Commander. During his tenure with the Austin Police, he received the Captain Louie White Award from the NAACP for his service to the community and his work to ensure residents have excellent police protection.

Wayne had a passion for life, travel, hunting, and fishing. He was a man of faith in Jesus Christ and credited his faith with getting him through some of the toughest times of his life.
